Thank you for visiting our website. Congregation Shomrei Torah is one of the most welcoming synagogues in the Phoenix area and we would be delighted to have you as a member. In addition to High Holiday services, we have weekly shabbat services at the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center, inviting all congregants to actively participate to the best of their ability. While some may be more comfortable with an English reading, we also have availability to try your hand at being Gabbai or reading Haftorah and Torah with the assistance of the Hazzan if needed. Shabbat Shirah - A Shabbat of SongsShomrei Torah celebrated Parshat Beshalach with song and food. Hazzan Savitz sang some wonderful songs including Leonard Cohen works and an Yiddush song he composed about family. It was followed by a music themed kiddush.

About Our Congregation Our name, Shomrei Torah, means "Guardians of the Torah". We accomplish this as a caring traditional egalitarian synagogue where each member is valued. As Guardians, we carry the Torah forward at our weekly Shabbat Service where we daven, learn and celebrate joyously under the leadership of Hazzan Bernard Savitz.
